Patient Community Advisory Committee Publishes Final Report for Elevating the Patient Voice in Research Project
In the fall of 2019, the Patient Community Advisory Committee (PCAC) at CAPriCORN began work on a Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award project, “Elevating the Patient Voice in Research.” The project was designed to increase patient participation in research and guide future health research priorities.
PCAC and the Health & Medicine Policy Research Group, partnered with local organizations to gather input from a wide range of community members. The opinions collected from the sessions and a widely-disseminated community survey resulted in a report of community findings, identified research priorities, and a plan to distribute information to a wider healthcare audience.
